I have been photographing the natural world for over 25 years. In that time I have only grown more fascinated by what the camera can reveal to us. Most of my color nature photographs revolve around textures and patterns rather than broad landscapes. In my black and white nature photographs I often explore similar themes but I also sometimes look for broader views that evoke a particular feeling in me. More recently I have been exploring the human form in my Silhouette Series.

I love the way a photograph can pick out a particular element or scene in a complex landscape and draw our attention to it. The act of making a photograph can take something that might at first appear so ordinary as to not even be noticed and reveal what is extraordinary about it.

Prints of all of my photographs are available for purchase. I use archival materials to print, matt and frame my photographs, so with reasonable care they should last for generations. For more details see the prices and ordering page.
